My Comments:
I think and this is my opinion why I bought this issue.
First: They have in their pipeline and clinical trials, 2 drugs in stage II.
Second: They brought on Mr. Tarnok for interim CEO and has most of his professional career spent with Pfizer..This could be a key factor for me and why I have a position, since it may bring in collaboration with Pfizer ..Of course this is my opinion.
Also, Mr. Tarnok acquired 100000 shares on April 29th...Based on Form-4 4/29/09.
As I have mentioned, I have a position and feel comfortable that we will start a run up..How far is anybody's guess, but I'm betting on Mr. Tarnok and Mr. Oliviero who has extensive knowledge with Securities and Exchange Commission rules and regulations and other corporate governance matters.
Reason why I say collaboration, is that Pfizer has limited pipeline and has pretty much exhausted their in-house research and must find small R&D Bio-companies to stay competitive..
With the current Phase II in progress, a collaboration seems to be the way until the clinical trials moves further into advance stages..
Most collaboration partnerships are results of the small R&D companies relying on shareholders and other sources of funding ( Equity Type Financial Instruments ) until further stages become evident, like stages II and III that show promise, will ultimately catch the eye of the large Pharma and is what I see here.
The collaboration seems more advantageous to us shareholders and would carry KERX through many ongoing clinical trials that costs millions.
On a later date, the licensee or marketing that only a large Pharma can execute, as well manufacturing would fit nicely.
Certainly the last two trading sessions something is definitely in the works.
There are 52 institutions that hold 26% of this issue.
Analyst consensus target 12 month $3 and in the last quarter 2009 rated this issue a buy.
Consensus target means just that, a estimate and should not be taken as a recommendation, as a analyst myself, I will put a target of .80 by years end.
I'm basing my target on an infusion of collaboration on financing and positive ongoing clinical trials moving forward.
I have not received compensation to recommend this issue.
This is still a speculative buy recommendation since the company did receive a delisting notice..However, I feel the company as stated above, is trying to make the right moves.
I own it and my average buy in was .32
Have a good day
